One of the joys you don't get with digital photography is the excitement of taking the photo and not really knowing what your pictures will look like until they are developed. And inevitably you get the images you thought were amazing coming back out of focus, or sometimes you find images that you didn't think much about and they turn out to be amazing.
This image I was really happy with but, was a total fluke, forgot to wind the film and got this double exposure which was one of those nice surprises you don't get with the new technology.
As an example of the boundaries between the design disciplines evaporating Peter Saville designed the England Kit with Umbro.
Both Stella McCartney (for Adidas) and Alexander McQueen (for Puma) have in the past collaborated with sports brands. So signing up a renowned designer to design something as momental as the new England kit would seem to follow suit. But the choice of Saville is a fascinating one as he is neither a household name such as McCartney or McQueen (althoguh revered by designers) and perhaps more significantly he isn't a fashion designer.
It is a truth universally accepted that Pixar only make great films. And you can guarantee that if you wrote a list of the best films of the year Pixar's contribution would head that list each year
Toy Story 3 is no acceptation, it is Cinema at it's best and i believe that it confirms The Toy Story Trilogy as the greatest ever. A feat especially impressive as each film acts independently of the other and each film can be viewed without needing to watch any of the other movies.
A special mention must be made for Night and Day, the short that precedes the main feature, it is about 5 - 10 minutes long and is amazing though out and i think it uses 3d better than any other film I have seen so far.
