As an example of the boundaries between the design disciplines evaporating Peter Saville designed the England Kit with Umbro.
Both Stella McCartney (for Adidas) and Alexander McQueen (for Puma) have in the past collaborated with sports brands. So signing up a renowned designer to design something as momental as the new England kit would seem to follow suit. But the choice of Saville is a fascinating one as he is neither a household name such as McCartney or McQueen (althoguh revered by designers) and perhaps more significantly he isn't a fashion designer.
